Radreng Trokhang
The Radreng Trokhang (ra sgreng spro khang) was the summer residence of the Radreng Rimpoché (rwa sgreng rin po che) incarnations. It was built for the Fifth Radreng Rinpoché Tupten Jampel Yeshé Tenpé Gyeltsen (thub bstan 'jam dpal ye shes bstan pa'i rgyal mtshan, 1912-1947), who was regent (sde srid) of Tibet from 1934 to 1941. The Radreng Trokhang was behind (to the north) of the main residence, or labrang (bla brang), of the Radreng Rinpoché within the Zhidé Dratsang (bzhi sde grwa tshang) complex. The Radreng Trokhang became the property of the Tibet Daily (Xizang ribao) newspaper after 1959. In 1996 residential housing was built in the courtyard and garden area of the Radreng Trokhang.
