Chuzom

Towards the southern end of the boarders of Thimphu and Paro is the confluence of Pachu river and Thimchu river. Therefore known as Chuzom, the confluence of the two rivers. The junction of roads to Thimphu, Paro, Haa and Chukha is also located at this point with a huge check point gate for forestery, police and immigrations stationed at the junction. A bridge over the confluence connecting Paro and Haa with Thimphu to Chukha high ways was also built in 1960's when roads arrived and was last extended to the current form in 1990's.
