Trakhar

Terton Pema Lingpa's heart son Dawa Gyeltshen founded Prakhar. When he built the temple, as it was built by human in the day, spirits built the temple at the night where people saw monkeys (Pra in local term) working on the construction. Therefore, people called the temple the house made by monkeys which in local term is 'Pra'-monkey and 'Khar'-the house. The settlement which surrounds the temple was also then known as the Prakhar village.
