Kurje Lhakhang
Padmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche is said to have visited this place in the eighth century. He meditated in a cave here in order to subdue the local deity Shelging Karpo and in the process left a body print on the rockface of the cave. Since then, the place became known as Kurje, the body print. Today there are three temples at the location and also a new Zangto Pelri temple built by the Royal Grand mother Mayum Kelzang Choden Wangchuck.at walking distance. Above this site is also the holy spring of Guru rinpoche.
