Jakar Higher Secondary School

The school was established in 1961. In 1983 it was upgraded to a Junior High School.  In 1995 the Education Deparatment further upgraded the school into a High School.  In 2002 it was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School with Arts and Commerce streams. As of today the school has the level of classes from IX to XII, and it also offers Science stream. It is located opposite to the Jakar dzong.
