Padtseling

Since the establishment of Pedtsheling monastery in 1769 by the first Pedtsheling trulku, Drubthob Namgyel Lhendup, the village was also called the same name. The monastery was privately owned by the successive reincarnations of Pedtseling Trulkus. Pedtseling literarily means 'the place of the lotus grove'.
