The small pass located between Ura and Shingnyer along the old national high way is known as the Shelthang ya. Ya in local language is for pass. The plain area just below the pass, which looked like a sheet of glass among the forest was the reason for this name.Shelthang la, meaning the pass of the ground of glass. It is also sometimes known as the Kori ya. At present the plain area below the pass is filled with the growth of new plants. As you reach this pass, Ura valley is seen down at the valley.
