Chubachu

The stream that flows down from below the Phajoding, which passes from the middle of Thimphu city is known as Chubachu. The area along this stream is also known as Chubachu. Today there are lots of residential and other buildings along the stream with main structures being the offices of Bhutan Telecom, Royal Textile Academy, the Ministry of Information and Communication and Bhutan Broadcasting Service located within the area along the Chubachu. The stream which was a clean drinking water in olden days now has become a polluted drainage for the sorrounding settlement.
