Dobji Dzong

Dobji dzong is located on a ridge at the end of the feeder road that runs down from the high way towards Haa from Thimphu over looking the wangchu at its foot and the national high from Thimphu to Chukha along the river. The dzong was built by Chojey Drukpa Kuenleg's brother Lam Ngawang Chogyel in 1531. Today the dzong houses a monastic school.
