On the hill top over the Pangkhar village is the ruins of the castle of Ura Dung Nagpo. He is one of the powerful rulers during the time when Bhutan had different regional rulers. His another castle known as Zhongkhar dzong is also in ruins located in Mongar dzongkhag. Mongar was known as Zhongkhar in the past. Dungnakpo lived during the time of Zhabdrung.
