Zilukha is a samll village above by a slope of a hill over looking Tashicho dzong from its north. The village has the popular Nunnery within the Thimphu city widely known as Zilukha Anim Dratsang. It was founded by aTibetan Lama popularly known as the Drupthob Thang Tong whose name is Drupthob Rahor Choedrag. Zilukha nunnery plays a vital role in providing the city people in their religious needs. While there are few remaining traditional houses in the village, appearence of concreate building was seen on increase of recently.
