The Inner Zhöl Pillar (zhol rdo ring nang ma) is located in front of the steps leading up to the Potala (po ta la) Palace in Zhöl village. The Inner Zhöl Pillar is blank and does not have an inscription carved into it. It was probably put in place at the completion of the construction of the Potala in the late seventeenth century.
