Trizur Ngaknor Labrang
The Trizur Ngaknor Labrang (khri zur ngag nor bla brang) was located to the northwest of the Jokhang (jo khang) temple in Lhasa. It was built in the late nineteenth century as a residence for Ngawang Norbu (ngag dbang nor bu, 19th century), the eighty-first Throne Holder of Ganden (dga' ldan khri pa). The Throne Holder of Ganden is the formal head of the Geluk (dge lugs) school of Buddhism. The building was demolished in between 2001 and 2002.
