Laykokha is one of the villages in Geylegkha_Kuenzangling Chiwog under Nyishog Gewog. According to the villagers, the place was probably known as Luetshokha meaning the place where body turned into lake, named after a lake which was formed from a body turned into the lake. The current name could be a mispronounciation or a gloss of that original name.
