Xian Wenwuzhi cannot confirm date, but clearly was a Kadampa site it states. Possibly the mngon dga' chos sde dgon (Kagyu w/53 monks) of TAR 1950s gonpa list (Shelkar dzong part), because Xian Wenwuzhi states it was near or part of a 'Chode' complex, though Chinese Pinyin name of 'Gongda Butalin' listed. This would mean the present-day southwestern arm of Sakya County used to be administered by Shelkar Dzong.
