Contemporary Usage: Light grazing and illegal excavations carried out in search of valuable artifacts. Many small holes have been recently dug at proximate monasteries.

Buddhist Constructions: Identifiable Buddhist constructions: A tiered shrine known as Guru Bumpa and a cubic protector shrine (Tsenkang) were constructed in the east crags of the summit from pre-existing building materials. It is reported that these two shrines withstood the Chinese Cultural Revolution largely unscathed.
